Trevor Shaw, GLDPartners

Trevor Shaw CPFA, MIED, leads GLDPartners UK and European practice and is a senior project finance, strategy and economic development leader with executive and non-executive director experience in government and industry.

Trevor has been Executive Director of Finance for a UK Government Regional Development Agency, Yorkshire Forward (400+ staff and £350m+ annual budget). Trevor understands the inter-relationship between economic development and public-private financial solutions from his experience in project finance, economic advice and European funding (€540m programme).He has dealt with governments at the local, regional and national level, with businesses up to multi-national level and the European Commission and European Investment Bank. Further, Trevor has management experience in performance and risk management, IT, Human Resources, Legal and Audit. Trevor has gained experience in corporate governance, political and corporate relationships, managing risk and company turnarounds.

Trevor has served as a Non-Executive Director on the boards of several companies as well as other non- statutory boards, including involvement in several Public Private Partnerships and their funding relating to infrastructure development. These have been as diverse as the South Humber Gateway Board, overseeing economic development of the last undeveloped deep water estuary in the UK, Digital Region, bringing superfast broadband access to Yorkshire, Directions Finningley, an airport training and facilities management operation and CO2 Sense which invests in carbon reduction initiatives and advises companies within the region on carbon reduction and recycling.

Trevor completed degree work and professional training at several UK colleges including Templeton College of Oxford University.
