Lois C. Yates, CEcD, leads GLDPartners’ Economic Development and Aviation practice. Lois is a nationally recognized economic development professional with over 30 years experience in developing and implementing proactive global business development strategies and in helping communities create and execute successful airport development projects.

During her career Ms. Yates had held senior level economic development management positions in Florida, Michigan, Maryland, New York and Arizona. In Arizona, Lois led the Department of Commerce under three different Governors and created a nationally recognized business investment program. During her tenure in these organizations, her work has led to the attraction of more than $12 billion of private capital investment and the creation of more than 75,000 jobs. She has successfully assisted hundreds of companies with both domestic and international projects.

Nationally Ms. Yates is active in the International Economic Development Council and was a member of the Board of Directors of the former American Economic Development Council and also served as the Chair of the Education Committee. Lois is a member of the Council for Supply Chain Management Professionals and is a Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) which is the highest professional designation awarded to those in the economic development profession. Lois has been a frequent speaker to economic development, ports and airports organizations.

Ms. Yates holds a BA degree in Political Science from Eastern Kentucky University and a MA degree in Diplomacy and International Commerce from the University of Kentucky’s Patterson School. Lois has also completed additional graduate studies at George Washington University.
