Carlos Morales, Project Manager

Morales is an Economic Development Project Manager/Consultant with GLDPartners and is currently working on GLDPartners Outsourced Economic Development Partnership with Merced County, California. Carlos has an extensive background in land assessment analysis, real estate evaluation, industry specific research, marketing implementation, retention and expansion efforts, and empirical econometric investigation.

Carlos’s professional experience includes working with both the public and private sectors in Texas, Mexico, Missouri and New Mexico. Previously Carlos was the Director of Economic Development Research for the Sandoval Economic Alliance in Rio Rancho New Mexico where he directed all market research and economic analysis activities in support of the long term strategic initiatives and business attraction activities of the organization.

Carlos has been involved in projects analyzing the economic relationship between the southern Texas-Chihuahua, Mexico border; evaluating the importance of education and public and private infrastructure for regional economic growth for the state of Missouri; and multiple projects analyzing a region’s competitive position.

Carlos has completed both a BBA and MS in Economics from The University of Texas at El Paso and will receive his Doctorate in Economic Development from New Mexico State University in December 2017.
